Simpsons Hit And Run Remake

The Simpsons remains one of the most popular sitcoms ever.

Speaking to LAD Bible, The Simpsons: Hit & Run producer Vlad Ceraldi said that a remake or a remaster could happen: “It would have to take the parties who are in charge of the property to want that to happen and someone out there to decide that they were going to go out and do it. The Simpsons: Hit & Run definitely WAS great though. The game was released more than 16 years ago and millions of copies were sold across the globe, with countless happy hours spent driving about. A 2003 classic, The Simpsons: Hit & Run remains a cult hit, to this day still being the best video game title to be based on the beloved animated series. Chances of a sequel died out over the years to make way for lesser franchise entries, but a new interview with an old team member might just renew hopes of a Simpsons Hit & Run remake or remaster.

Having started way back in 1989, the show is still going strong and is set to air its 700th episode in the near future.

It is so well-liked that numerous video games were created back in the 2000s in its honour, including 'The Simpsons: Hit & Run'.

Remake

Having been released in 2003, the game was a major success, centred around the Simpson family uncovering an alien conspiracy, and there could be good news for fans who still enjoy playing it all these years later.

The producer of the original game Vlad Ceraldi has teased that it could be remastered or remade.

Ceraldi told LADbible: 'I could see it on multiple different types of platforms as a remake or remaster. It would have to take the parties who are in charge of the property to want that to happen and someone out there to decide that they were going to go out and do it. But absolutely, it would be fun to explore those characters and that universe again, that work again.'

Reflecting on how the game was received 17 years ago, Ceraldi claimed that he knew straight away that it was going to be a hit, eluding to how it can be enjoyed by players of all ages.

'As far as why it stood the test of time, I think it's a game that kids could play, adults could play, anyone who was fans of the show could try and laugh and have fun with,' he said.

Whilst Ceraldi has admitted that discussions regarding a potential remake have yet to reach a serious stage, he appears open to the idea, and was keen to point out that previous remastering of games have shown that it can be done successfully.

'It's come up before in discussions but not seriously, usually at the pub, just talking about the idea of some of the magic that was captured and the potential ability to recapture it in a new way with a different audience, with a different generation of devices.

Simpsons Hit And Run Remaster

'There's masters out there like Nintendo and other companies who have nailed it time and time again, so it would be wonderful to reinvest in how you can control the characters, how you can control the world, how much of the world you can explore in detail,' Ceraldi said.

News Now - Sport News

Over the last twenty years, there have been few games that have been as widely beloved as The Simpsons: Hit & Run.

Essentially a PG-13 version of Grand Theft Auto wearing a Simpsons costume, The Simpsons: Hit & Run became an instant classic as it was revered by both gaming fans and critics alike.

Now, 16 years after its original release, the remaster that fans have long been clamoring for may finally become a reality, at least according to someone who was heavily involved in the game’s creation.

Speaking toLAD Bible, The Simpsons: Hit & Run producer Vlad Ceraldi said that a remake or a remaster could happen :

“It would have to take the parties who are in charge of the property to want that to happen and someone out there to decide that they were going to go out and do it. But absolutely, it would be fun to explore those characters and that universe again, that work again.

With all of the various reboots, remakes, and remasters that have occurred throughout the years, there’s no reason why one of the most popular console games of the early 2000s isn’t a prime candidate for a remaster, especially considering that The Simpsons is STILL on the air.
